Senator Rob Portman, widely considered a top candidate to be Mitt Romney’s running mate, mentioned on his Twitter that he is riding in the 100-mile Pelotonia ride to Kenyon this weekend. This surely means nothing for national politics, but because all the other blogs are engaging in rampant, mostly unfounded speculation about Mittens’ choice: NUGE/PORTMAN 2012 WRITE IN CAMPAIGN IS A GO.
[Hat-tip, as they say, to Erin Mershon '12]
It should also be noted that Portman’s brother went to Kenyon and his parents were on the Board of Trustees.
