Details are vague, but according to a press release published this afternoon (included after the jump), Vice President Joe Biden will make a campaign stop in Gambier on Tuesday, Oct. 30 for a “grassroots” event. Biden will also pay a visit to Wooster, Ohio.

“Kenyon has sent the Obama/Biden campaign, at the campaign’s request, a contract for rental of the KAC on Tuesday. The campaign has not yet returned the contract,” Kenyon’s News Director Mark Ellis said in an email.

Ellis stressed that the event should not be mistaken as a political endorsement by the College. “It’s important that Kenyon remain nonpartisan,” he said.

Keep in mind, there’s a hurricane threatening to hit the east coast early next week, so Biden’s plans are subject to change. But if the visit comes through, it will be a day of politics in Gambier. The Center for the Study of American Democracy (CSAD) is set to host a debate between Rep. Bob Gibbs (R), of Ohio’s seventh district, and Democratic challenger Joyce Healy-Abrams Tuesday evening.

Has Kenyon invited Ryan to speak?

Kenyon does not invite anyone to speak. Clubs at Kenyon invite people to speak. The KC Dems invited Biden. The KC Reps are certainly welcome to invite Ryan, I would imagine.
