Real person food: Griller’s Barbeque

The Griller's menu is vast, affordable and mouthwatering.

Every Kenyon student needs to get away from Peirce every now and then. Unfortunately, Nowhere, Ohio can prove daunting when it comes to finding really great places to eat on those days when you just can’t stomach any more zucchini and French bread pizza.

For the meat-eaters among you, though, Griller’s Barbeque in Howard is a must-try. It’s almost unbelievably cheap, it’s only a ten-minute drive from Gambier and– most importantly– the food is delicious. I tried the smoked pulled pork sandwich; the meat was moist and tender, and the addition of a liberal helping of their hot sauce only made it better. The ribs literally fall off the bone, and the fresh-cut fries, which they give you in abundance, are impossible to stop eating.
