If you’re looking for something easy to make for Thanksgiving dinner (so you can tell your mom you contributed to the feast), try this Corn Chowder. But if you don’t want to cook at all, just play this video and say you’re adding to the ambience.
This recipe serves 12, but can easily be cut in half or into thirds.
- 3/4 pound of bacon (can be left out)
- 1 cup chopped onions
- 3 cans of cream-style corn (17 ounces)
- 3 cups of milk
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 3 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions: Fry bacon until crisp. Drain, crumble. Drain all but two tablespoons fat; sauté onion in fat until tender, about eight minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese and bacon; heat to boiling. Reduce heat to low; stir in cheese until melted. Stir in bacon.
