Ahoy, mateys! Do you like pirates? Do you like politics? Do you like economics? Do you like capitalism? If you answered yes to any of the first three, you should absolutely come hear Peter Leeson lecture tonight! Leeson, a professor for the study of capitalism at George Mason University, will be discussing his book The Invisible Hook: The Hidden Economics of Pirates.

Disclaimer: if you only clicked on this post because you are obsessed with Pirates of the Caribbean (and who can blame you, really?) you might be out of luck, as Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp will probably not be attending this lecture. But you should come anyway, because it’ll be really interesting.
