ECO Tip of the Week: Less Light

This series comes to us courtesy of  Kenyon ECO ( Environmental Campus Organization).

Turn off the lights!  You might have heard this one before, but this has got to be the easiest thing you can do be green and save energy, and given the lack of any reason not to do so, this a no-brainer. Every day I walk into empty dorm rooms, bathrooms, and classrooms to see the lights still on, and it makes me think that people just need to get into the habit of checking the lights as they leave.  Surely it’s not the difficulty of the task that deters us.  It takes minimal energy on our part to lift a finger, but regularly turning off the lights as we leave a room will save the school, our parents, the business, the country – everyone – a lot of energy and money.
