Sign of the Week: Aries

As a wise old man (Dr. Seuss) once said, “I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I’ve bought a big bat. I’m all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!”

My dear, dear friends. Hello. It’s getting a little chilly again…which is super exciting because there are few things in life better than slippers. Pull your scarves tight as we take a peek at the leaves lying at the bottom of your teacup–which is something fortunetellers do in case you’ve never read/seen Harry Potter. The road ahead is a bit muddled, but I put in a fresh pair of contacts this morning, so I’m feeling ready for this. Are you?

This is for the Aries (Arieses, Ariess?) out there. Right now there is a new moon in Libra (it’s called lunation folks), and here’s what the planets have in store for you:

Academics: For those of you who have requested good grades, I do not have that power. Sorry. But, you’re going to have to do a bit of a juggling act this weekend struggling with both midterms and parents (even if they’re not yours).

Element: Your element is fire. I don’t know if this means that you should play with it or channel it or what, but fire’s a bit taboo at Kenyon (in case you’ve been living under a rock)…so maybe just don’t.

Love life: Not much going on here. Nope.

Lust life: Way more interesting than the love life. The lunation (which I’m pretty sure is a constant cycle) will have you lusting left and right.

Weekend: Making decisions can be stressful, and this weekend’s going to be crazy for many of you. Maybe your parents are coming, maybe you have seven midterms coming up in two of your classes. You’ve just gotta shake it off, breathe, put your dancing shoes and get out there. With some careful maneuvering, you can get through this.

Some other Aries who look like you: Alec Baldwin, Vincent Van Gogh, Christopher Walken, Gloria Steinem, and Mariah Carey.
