Joe Biden Cancels Kenyon Visit, Says Campaign

According to an Obama campaign release emailed to ABC News, Vice President Joe Biden has canceled his appearances in Gambier and Wooster tomorrow, as well as an event in Scranton, Pa., out of an “abundance of caution” to make sure that local authorities can focus their efforts on possible response to Hurricane Sandy.

However, the planned KAC event will still go on, and will feature pizza and shuttles for early voting.

The release can be seen after the jump.

  1. Guess since Bengazi he feels he should be back in Washington to “monitor” the situation. Too bad they didn’t think like that for those 4 guys. Frankenstorm is a high priority now.

    • YOU ARE ACTUALLY THE BIGGEST TOOL I HAVE EVER SEEN. WHY NOT DRIVE OUT TO IOWA FOR ANN ROMNEY’S “VICTORY” CAMPAIGN STOP (THE ONE NOT INVOLVED AT ALL WITH HURRICANE RELIEF AND WHAT SHE IS ACTUALLY ATTENDING TODAY) OR GO WASH CLEAN POTS UNINVITED WITH PAUL RYAN? I DON’T LIKE OBAMA-BIDEN BUT SERIOUSLY, YOU’D DO WELL WITH SOME GODDAMN PERSPECTIVE SO YOU DON’T KEEP MOUTHING OFF LIKE A FUCKING FOX AND FRIENDS ZOMBIE.

  2. We were looking forward to seeing Mr. Biden for the first time, but understand that having a national figure visit the area would divert a lot of security personnel to that event. I agree it is “super cautious” to avoid detracting from any other emergencies that might arise due to the anticipated storm. You never know. But we sure do like the VP and would have liked to see and hear him speak.
