Last Day to Early Vote!

For everyone registered to vote in Ohio, today is the last day to early vote. If you have yet to vote, get yourself to the polls now and avoid the long lines that are likely tomorrow. You can vote today at the Knox County Board of Elections from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To cast your ballot, you must have the last four digits of your Social Security Number and the copy of your utility bill that was emailed to you in September by Also, check out this handy Voter Guide that the Collegian compiled. Nifty!

Election Day voting information after the jump.

If you can’t make it today (or if you refuse to vote early because centuries of family tradition dictate that you vote on the Official Election Day No Matter What), the final day of any kind of Presidential voting takes place tomorrow (Election Day) at the Gambier Community Center. Polls will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., so plan accordingly. There will be shuttles leaving from the Peirce parking lot starting at 9:00 a.m. and running throughout the day.

No matter who you are voting for, make sure to get out and vote!

  1. In a last-minute directive issued Friday night that could disenfranchise thousands of Ohioans and tip the outcome of the election, Republican Secretary of State Jon Husted changed requirements for submitting provisional ballots on Election Day.

The directive requires voters, not election officials, to fill out a confusing form listing the type of ID they provided to vote. This new directive is a clear violation of Ohio law and puts even more votes at risk of not being counted.

Secretary Husted has also instructed election officials to not count ballots where that part of the form has not been correctly filled out by the voter.
