If you subscribe to AllStu, you may have been keeping up with the recent debate on the decision to bring the contentious author Charles Murray to Kenyon. For those of you who haven’t googled it or taken an intro sociology class, Murray co-authored The Bell Curve in 1994, in which he made controversial links between race and intelligence.
Tonight, Murray will be speaking at 7:30PM in Rosse Hall. The Center for the Study of American Democracy is bringing Murray to Kenyon to talk about his new book Coming Apart: The State of White America 1960-2010. He argues that white America is becoming more and more isolated into component groups. There is even an online quiz to determine how insulated you are. His lecture may be interesting, but the Q&A afterward is sure to be popcorn worthy.
- What: Charles Murray.
- When: 7:30PM.
- Where: Rosse Hall.
I wonder how that Q&A went.
