Updated: Andrew Pochter ’15 Killed During Egyptian Unrest

On Friday, June 28, Andrew Pochter ’15 was killed while observing a conflict between supporters and opponents of Egypt’s president, Mohamed Morsi, according to U.S. Embassy officials. According to his family, Pochter, 21, was in Egypt as part of an internship with the non-profit organization AMIDEAST, teaching English to young children in Alexandria. The AMIDEAST internship was not a Kenyon program.
