We’re picking back up on the feature wherein we spotlight an SMA each Friday to raise awareness about the resources available to victims of sexual assault. Remember, the SMAs are subordinate to the Counseling Center, so anything you tell them is kept confidential. They also have an anonymous hotline you can call if you need assistance: 740-358-1544. Stay safe this weekend, and know that there is always someone you can talk to if you need help.

Today, we’re featuring Rhiannon Suggs, a junior from Ohio.

Cookie pie or giant cookie?  Giant Cookie! Especially when it’s fresh out of the oven and really gooey. I can’t tell you how many stomach aches I’ve gotten from too much of this.

What’s the best meal you’ve ever had (excluding cookie pie and/or giant cookie)? Hmmm… I love all food so this is hard, but I’m going to have to say just a regular home-cooked meal is always the best.

What’s the last good book you read?  My dad’s ethnography. I know, I know, I’m biased, but seriously…. it’s an amazing piece of work.
Why do you love your hometown?  It’s home. My mom and dad are there (or here, I guess, since I’m from Mount Vernon).

What’s the best class you’ve taken at Kenyon? Another tough question! I can’t choose just one, so both  “Biocultural Perspective on Medicine” and “Society and Culture.”

Why did you become an SMA?  I want to be there for people and I want to help others in any way I can. Helping and being there for others is truly my passion and why I want to become a nurse practitioner one day.
