Anniversary of the Old Kenyon Fire

Today marks the 65th anniversary of the Old Kenyon fire that devastated campus. Though we as a community complain about certain aspects of Kenyon, days like today serve as a reminder to be grateful for what we have. 9 students lost their lives in that fire and it took over a year to rebuild the building that, at the time, housed over a quarter of the student body. So be grateful for everything the College has to offer today, and don’t light any candles in your room. For more about the Fire of 1949, read this.
