Lords tennis conference champions

While Summer Sendoff cheer spread around the hill, Kenyon athletes played out the home stretches of their season. The Lords tennis team won its eighth consecutive conference championship title, men’s ultimate advanced to D-III nationals and head baseball coach Matt Burdette won his 300th game with the Lords. Here are all the results from the weekend.

Friday, April 25

Men’s Tennis: home vs. Ohio Wesleyan University; W 5-0

Women’s Tennis: home vs. Allegheny College; W 5-1

Men’s and Women’s Track: at the Denison University Last Chance Meet; unscored

Saturday, April 26

Women’s Lacrosse: home vs. DePauw University; W 17-5

Men’s Tennis: home vs. Allegheny College; W 6-1

Softball: home vs. Allegheny College; W 2-1, W 5-4

Baseball: at Hiram College; L 9-10, W 14-1

Women’s Tennis: vs. DePauw University (in Granville, Ohio); L 0-5

Sunday, April 27

Men’s Tennis: vs. DePauw University (in Granville, Ohio); W 5-3

Softball: at Denison University; L 3-4, W 7-1

Men’s Ultimate (SERF): at the Ohio Valley D-III College Men’s Regionals (in Bethlehem, Pa.); 3rd place (out of 10 teams; 4-1 record), qualified for D-III Nationals

Women’s Ultimate (Ransom): at the Ohio Valley D-III Women’s College Regionals (in Edinboro, Pa.); 3rd place (out of six teams; 2-3 record)

Men’s Track: hosted the North Coast Athletic Conference Multi-Event Championship; Jordan Wehner ’14 placed 8th (out of nine athletes) in the decathlon

Women’s Tennis: vs. Oberlin College (in Granville, Ohio); L 0-5

Golf: at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championship Series (in Danville, Ind.); 6th place (out of nine schools)

Baseball: at Hiram College; L 4-5, L 7-8
