Kenyon Graffiti: Chalmers Edition

As I sit in the library, contemplating whether I should keep “doing my work” or go home and “clean my room for my parents”, I have decided to do neither of those things, and contribute a second volume to the Kenyon Graffiti feature here at the Thrill. It’s midterms time, but it’s also Saturday, so this is my happy send off to the study carrel scribbles, at least for the afternoon.

If I discovered anything, it’s that when we’re not posting on the internet, we just post on the walls. We say some wise things:

Study Carrel Scribbles 1

…and sometimes we respond to other peoples’ wise things:

"Almost done!" "Not me." "It. Never. Ends. Ever." "Unfortunately it does )-:"

“Almost done!”
“Not me.”
“It. Never. Ends. Ever.”
“Unfortunately it does )-:”

Still other times we say what we feel:

We ask questions about cognitive Psychology:

And when times get tough we have to ask the Bigger Questions:

"Heavenly Father, Why are you so far away?"

“Heavenly Father, Why are you so far away?”

People like to write their organization names on things, and sometimes things escalate:

"Independents." "We have more fun and better sex." "<--False"

“Independents.”
“We have more fun and better sex.”
“False”

In the end, there’s something creepy, poetic and strangely comforting about knowing that you’re not the first person to sit in your carrel until nerd bell:

"This is my home You are always welcome to my home But please respect my home It can be your home too Have a nice day. I love you. We all love you."

“This is my home
You are always welcome to my home
But please respect my home
It can be your home too
Have a nice day.
I love you.
We all love you.”
