Do It Tonight: Bilingual Poetry Reading with Hugo Mujica

Argentinian poet, essayist and writer Hugo Mujica will be giving a reading of his award-winning poetry tonight in both Spanish and English. Mujica is one of Argentina’s top writers, with twenty volumes of poetry published in over 15 countries with a wide range of writing on topics including anthropology, philosophy and fiction.  The range of experience that informs his work goes from studying visual arts in Greenwich Village to a seven year vow of silence he took as a Trappist monk (and while that sounds like something I would make up to have him sound more impressive, it is not).  This event is sponsored by the NEH Distinguished Teaching Professorship and Hubbard Funds.
