For some of our teams, this week marked the end of the season. For others, this week marked the beginning. And one of our three teams to advance to the NCAA championships is still fighting. Here’s what happened this week:

Wednesday:

Field Hockey vs. Messiah College (NCAA Tournament): Loss 0-2

Saturday:

Men’s Basketball vs. Westminster College (at Westminster College Tournament): Loss 81-93

Women’s Basketball vs. Washington and Jefferson College (at Penn State-Behrend College Tournament): Loss 56-58

Men’s Cross Country at NCAA Regional Tournament: 21st Place

Women’s Cross Country at NCAA Regional Tournament: 19th Place

Football vs. Denison University: Loss 19-33

Men’s Soccer vs. Heidelberg University (NCAA Tournament): WIN 3-0

Women’s Soccer vs. Emory University (NCAA Tournamnet): WIN 1-0

Men’s Swimming and Diving at Denison University: WIN 170-130

Women’s Swimming and Diving at Denison University: WIN 166-128

Sunday:

Men’s Basketball vs. Thiel College (at Westminster College Tournament): Loss 59-73

Women’s Basketball vs.Penn State-Behrend (at Penn State-Behrend College Tournament): WIN 57-39

Men’s Soccer vs. Thomas Moore College (NCAA Tournament): Tie 0-0 (Lords Advance on Penalty Kicks 3-0)

Women’s Soccer vs. Thomas Moore College: Loss 1-2

As Swimming and Basketball gear up for the first games of their seasons, Men’s Soccer will continue to fight in the NCAA Tournament. The team’s next game will be on Saturday, against Ohio Wesleyan University (Location TBD). The Lords recently beat OWU to claim first place in the NCAC Tournament.
