The social scene is looking pretty dead until April.
On Topic: Rush Week – If you didn’t know already, it’s rush week. For First Years who participate, this can be a very exciting (and sometimes nerve-wrecking) time . Even for those who don’t, it’s hard not to notice that this week is a busy one. With multiple rush events going on each day, The campus feels a little more hectic and happening than we’re used to, especially for the season. But, as many of us know, it will not last.
Off Topic: Every other week until April – We’ve just reached the time of year where everything is dead. Not only trees, but Kenyon’s social scene is much quieter in these winter months than it is in first semester and in late Spring. On top of a diminished number of all-campus parties thrown by the Greek organizations, the overall amount of energy it takes to go out increases exponentially when doing so requires trudging through 12 degree weather and 4 inches of snow. So settle in everybody, it’s about to get rough.
