The snow has begun to melt in Gambier, which can only mean one thing: spring sports are starting. Tennis is officially back in season, and it’s nearing championship time for the winter sports. Here’s what happened this week!

Wednesday:

Men’s Basketball vs. The College of Wooster: Loss 91-93

Friday:

Men’s Tennis at Case Western Reserve University: WIN 6-3

Saturday:

Men’s Basketball at Ohio Wesleyan University: Loss 93-102

Women’s Basketball at Ohio Wesleyan University: Loss 71-75

Men’s Indoor Track and Field at Bob Shannon Invitational: 8th Place

  • Colton Orr ’18 also competed in the first four events of the All-Ohio heptathlon. He currently holds 8th place
  • Sam Lagasse ’16 spent Saturday competing at the Hillsdale College Wide-Track Classic in Hillsdale, MI. He placed fourth in the 5,000-meter race

Women’s Indoor Track and Field at Bob Shannon Invitational: 8th Place (tied with Washington and Jefferson College)

Sunday:

Men’s Tennis vs The University of Chicago (at Case Western Reserve University): Loss 2-7

Women’s Tennis vs The University of Chicago (at Oberlin College): Loss 0-9
