Every week, The Thrill features a member of a student-support organization to bring awareness about the various resources available to the student body on campus. This week, we’re featuring Randy Stratton ’16 from Trumbull, CT. Stay safe this weekend, and know that there is always someone you can talk to if you need help.
If you want to speak to a PC, they have Office Hours in the new Health and Counseling Center. Drop by and talk to a PC every Sunday-Thursday, 7-9 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays 5:30-7:30 p.m. Or call their 24/7 hotline at 740-398-3806.
Cookie pie or giant cookie?
Cookie pie for sure. Because when you’re done you got that little tin left over that you can wear on your head like a hat.
What’s the best meal you’ve ever had?
I once tried to eat a clock… It was very time consuming, but you’d be alarmed at how good it was
What’s the last good book you read?
Confession: I actually don’t read as much as I would like, but one of my favorite books is Unbroken by Kenyon’s own Laura Hillenbrand.
Why do you love your hometown?
Ah good ol’ Trumbull! I always tell people that we have the best air – But I’m pretty sure I just made that up. I think our air is pretty average as far as air goes.
What’s your favorite place to nap on campus?
Peirce Lounge on the couch that faces away from the door so people can’t see me when they walk in. That way they don’t feel bad about using the space, and then when they finally see me, they’re already committed and can’t turn around. I can then strike up a conversation in my half asleep state. It’s how I make friends
What movie have you watched most frequently?
I play “The Princess Bride” pretty much on repeat
Why did you become a PC?
Well like every college kid, I’ve had my share of struggles. I wanted to be there for other people who were going through the same struggles I’ve been through.
