Senior’s React: to Senior Soirée

One of Kenyon’s most beloved traditions occurred this weekend. An all expenses-paid booze-festival in the glowing Thomas Hall, seniors gather in formal wear and never look back. We asked our senior staff for their personal experiences of the night, and they didn’t disappoint.

“It was sorta like prom but with people that you actually like and with booze. I actually spent a lot of time talking to people who were in my first year hall who I haven’t spoken to in forever. I then tore the button off my pants and spilled red wine down one leg, and spent most of the next day saying “you have nobody to blame but yourself.” Overall, I’d give it a 9/10, would recommend to a friend 👍

“It was pretty good, I got nowhere near as drunk as I expected/wanted to be, but I had a pretty nice time. I wore heels, HUGE MISTAKE, my legs still feel weird and sore, but I danced a lot and took like a whole hunk of brie and a bunch of crackers and a bunch of breaks to go sit in a corner and eat it. Then later on I went out and a bunch of first-years called me daddy, so all in all, great night.”

“Chardonn-haaaayyy. Much fun, more wine, and John Green. I guess he’s ok. ”

“The announcement of John Green dampened any party fervor I may’ve had. I promptly went home and attempted to summon the ghost of former President Richard Nixon with a friend on a homemade ouija board. It didn’t work. “
