Tacci Smith Moves to Otterbein

Tacci Smith, the Associate Dean of  Students and Director of Orientation and Community Programs, has left Kenyon for a position at Otterbein University, her alma mater, in Westerville, Ohio.

Smith came to Kenyon in 2004 as the Director of Student Activities, before transitioning to Associate Dean of Students in 2007. In a statement sent to The Thrill, she wrote:

I would say that in 11 and a half years, Kenyon has been a wonderful place, but it’s truly the people who make the difference from other schools.  The amazing colleagues, fantastic students, and awesome friends that I made here are what make my departure the hardest.  I have always tried to be a strong student advocate and saw my position as a liaison for the students and administrative policies, but my favorite times have been in advising students.  The events and programs the students and I worked on have been exciting and are times that I will always remember.
Thanks to everyone for their time and energy in making Kenyon a great place and know that it’s a bittersweet time for me to leave as I will miss all of you!
