Put me in coach!

One question has always plagued me as I walk down Middle Path. One question has always kept me up in the middle of the night. One question has always thrown me into existential crisis.

Why D3?

I know the answer now. It lies in the hearts of Kenyon’s football team. Look, I don’t care if you hate organized sports or if you hate how cloyingly tight men’s football pants are or if you think football is just another name for soccer. Put those aversions aside. This past Saturday, Men’s football tossed the ol’ pigskin and won. That’s right. That passion, that drive, that ability to come back and win is the answer to “Why D3?”.  Here are some other reasons why people are #D3

“D3 because books r fuel.”

“Why not D3?”

“I’m only D3 for the hash brown triangles. Once Peirce stops serving those, I’m out.”

Good! Kenyon, you never cease to impress me. Thank you for finally putting me out of my #whyd3 misery. Here are some other things that might put you out of your misery in other ways this week.

What: A Reading with Eboo Patel

  • Eboo Patel, the founder and president of the Interfaith Youth Core and member of the White House Office of Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, is a leader in the movement to promote cooperation among different faiths.

When: Wednesday, September 7 at 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Where: Finn House, Cheever Room

What: Ragnar Kjartansson: The Visitors

  • IT’S ART! Appreciate it pleaseandthankyou.

When: NOW through Sunday, September 25

Where: Gund Gallery

What: Men’s Lacrosse vs themselves??

  • I just learned that there’s this thing in lacrosse called “fall ball”. It’s the term for conditioning, but it only reinforces my point that the lacrosse community is slowly creating a new world language. Before we know it our offspring will be taught lacrosse lingo instead of english! We will be none the wiser! Everyone will be “stick heads

When: The near future.

Where: All over the globe.
