The day has finally come. No more wishing for Janney, hankering for Hank, or manifesting the pure rock ‘n’ roll power of Beto O’Rourke. Well, we might continue with that last one. But for now, we must rest. As of this morning, the word is out that the real, no joke Commencement Speaker for the Class of 2020 is Samie Kim Falvey ’96.

While Falvey may not be the skater boi of our dreams, she is the current chairman of Imagine TV and former Executive VP of ABC Entertainment where she played an essential role in leading shows like “Black-ish,” “Modern Family,” and “Fresh off the Boat” to success. Her commitment to diversity in the entertainment industry is complemented with her work the Kenyon Board of Trustees, where she works for both the Diversity Committee and the Budget, Finance, and Audit team.

Falvey will deliver the 2020 Commencement Address during the 192nd Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, May 16, 2020.
