The panini press is a glorious asset for us Peirce-goers. But why limit it to sandwiches and cookies when you could use it to its full potential? You may have witnessed its power to wilt spinach, but you will weep when you see its ultimate power to…Foster bananas? I know it doesn’t really work like that, but work with me here. Hey, Isn’t That Mine?

It’s Sunday morning brunch, and you’re sitting at your table on New Side, nursing a hangover with a plate full of hash brown triangles.  In between complaints about all the work you have to do this afternoon, you look over at the other table to see Jane Doe wearing your bracelet, a family heirloom that has been passed down for generations that you sort of accidentally misplaced last night whilst stumbling around your friend’s NCA in a drunken stupor. One of the worst things about entering my first year of college this past fall was the feeling that there was so much I needed to know, yet very few ways to find it out that my cluttered mind could make sense of. Clearly I wasn’t the only first-year feeling anxious, because by the time we got acclimated to orientation, misinformation in the form of ridiculous rumors was spreading like wildfire. Continue reading
