Do it Today: Free STD Clinic @ Health Center

hqdefault

The Health Center will be offering free testing for gonorrhea and chlamydia from 3 to 6 pm today. A limited number of HIV tests will also be available, though the number may increase based on demand. The process is confidential, stress-free and there will be self-collection (i.e. no physical exam), so whether you think you need to or not, head down to the Health Center this afternoon to take charge of your sexual health! No appointment necessary. Oh, and say hi to Kim Cullers, because she is the queen.

  • What – Free STD testing for gonorrhea, chlamydia and HIV
  • Where – The Cox Health & Counseling Center, 101 West Scott Lane (past the Post Office)
  • When – 3 to 6 pm today, Monday, Feb. 23rd
  • Why – Because it’s never a bad idea to check up on your sexual health in a professional and respectful environment. (Especially when it’s free.)

Kenyon Lifehack: DIY Wine Fridge

unnamed

Those flowers were picked in early September, and are even more gross than they look.

Even for a lifehack, this one is pretty simple (and, perhaps, pretty hack-y.) All you’ll need to get started is — a) a bottle of wine, b) a window (preferably in an NCA or New Apt., but you can covertly make this work in a dorm setting as well), and c) a brutal Ohio winter. Ready?

  • Step 1 — Select your wine. I went with “$3.83 Kroger bottle of unknown vintage.”

Made in Peirce: Health Plate

unnamed-1

If you’re like me, you want to eke the maximum amount of Bobby-Flay-level flavor out of your Peirce dinner without sacrificing nutrition.

“But how am I supposed to do that?”, you moan ghoulishly, staggering out of the servery with your greasy paws clamped around a napkinful of mac-and-cheese sandwiches.

Don’t worry, friends. I, your health and fitness guru, am here to save the day with HealthPlate™. (Not to brag, but as of press time, I’ve completed slightly over 1 crunch. And not to digress further, but I think there’s a classic comedy joke to be made here about crunches versus Crunch Bars that I’d be remiss not to note.)

The Great Cam’Ron Shutdown Poll

camronB-e1330270328587

Well, Cam’ron is playing at Kenyon in approx. 15 minutes, against all odds. Yeah, Jay-Z’s former rival is performing in Kenyon’s own Horn Gallery, in what may well be Cam’ron’s first “rural music barn” performance, and we predict Kenyon fans will flood the place pretty quick. Even our roughly 1,700 enrollment might prove to be too much — insert your D.I.Y. Purple Haze joke here.

Weigh in, friends — How long can this beautiful miracle last until Campus Safety shows up?

  • Start time: 9:30-ish
  • End Time
  • A) 9:45
  • B) 10:01
  • C: 10:13
  • D) ALL NIGHT LONG

Leave your predictions in the comments, and get ready for Opera Steve.

UPDATE — As of 9:59 pm, there have been reported Killa Cam sightings, reported Safety shutdowns and everyone’s standing outside the  Horn, smoking and plotting.

UPDATE — 10:00 pm — Some guy just said “He’s here.”

UPDATE — 10:02 pm — He’s not here.

UPDATE — 10:12 pm — It’s cold out here.

UPDATE — 12:17 am — Cam’ron performed at roughly 10:35 pm. It was cool.
