Bryson’s best-selling travel narratives include “Notes from a Small Island,” and “A Walk in the Woods.” His acclaimed book on the history of science, “A Short History of Nearly Everything,” explores history from the Big Bang to quantum mechanics and won the Royal Society’s Aventis Prize as well as the Descartes Prize. His most recent publication is “One Summer: America 1927.”
