Good morning! Here’s what was missed over the weekend:

The lead story: As most of you likely know by now, the Grand Jury in Ferguson, MO, did not indict Officer Darren Wilson in the shooting of Michael Brown. Officer Wilson has now resigned from the Ferguson Police Department, and while the decision was his own, he was not asked to leave, many protesters and advocates for Michael Brown are pleased with this development, despite disappointment that Wilson was not indicted.

The lead story: A health worker at a hospital in Dallas has been officially confirmed as the first person inside the US to contract Ebola. The unidentified employee was in contact with a man who had caught Ebola outside the US and was being treated at the hospital in Dallas.

Good morning! Here’s what you missed over the weekend:

The lead story: Democracy activists in Hong Kong battled with riot police over the weekend and into today after mainland Chinese authorities imposed new regulations on elections held in the semi-autonomous territory. Police employed tear gas and other riot gear but protesters still managed to control three major thoroughfares. Mostly students, the protesters have been calling for labour strikes.
