What do bananas, cups, and sophisticated art have in common? Sean Seu ’19 decided to answer that question with his charming Instagram series titled “Banana Cup.” This ambitious photographer has made it his hobby to take pictures of his Kenyon peers pretending to drink from cups graced with carefully arranged banana peels. I interviewed Sean about his art and discovered that his project is proving to be quite ambitious. He has many plans for Banana Cup and I’m eager to see where this series goes in the future.

Kenyon Side Projects: Claire Berman ’16

So, as it turns out, Kenyon students are pretty weird. The Thrill has decided to showcase the endearing oddities of our student body with a feature entitled “Kenyon Side Projects”. In this new feature, we will spotlight a Kenyon student with a side project that we find particularly intriguing. This time we’re excited to feature our own editor-in-chief Claire Berman ’15. Claire has been slowly building a formidable collection of ceramic poodles, called “spaghetti poodles” for their distinctive appearance.

So, as it turns out, Kenyon students are pretty weird. The Thrill has decided to showcase the endearing oddities of our student body with a new features entitled “Kenyon Side Projects”. In this new feature, we will spotlight a Kenyon student with a side project that we find particularly intriguing. This time we’re excited to feature James Miller ’18. James changed Kenyon forever on February 13th, 2015, as he attempted to eat 50 hard boiled eggs in once sitting. We’re excited to learn more about the eggsperience and adventure that happened on Egg Day.

Kenyon Side Projects: P.F. Kluge and Doug Givens

In 1999, P.F. Kluge and Doug Givens embarked on what they refer to as the “Knox County Motocross.” What began as simply driving the perimeter of the county, turned into an adventure that’s lasted almost sixteen years.
