Longtime Assistant Dean for Housing and Residential Life Alicia Dugas has resigned from her position, according to two Community Advisors who have asked to remain anonymous. Her final day was last Friday. The news was delivered to Community Advisors in an email today, according to the sources.
In the email, which Dugas provided to The Thrill, she said that she wanted to be able to spend more time at home with her children. “I have been longing to stay home with my children and the opportunity presented itself and the decision was abundantly clear to me,” she wrote. “I know the timing is not ideal for Kenyon but I am going to make the most out of the next 8 months before the children start part time school.”
Dugas was one of the College’s more visible administrators — dealing with students as they sorted through housing dilemmas and went through the annual lottery.
Update on plans to find her successor below the jump.
