I was so sad when an incident involving an angry duck, nine parking tickets, and an industrial size jar of mayonnaise made me miss KCDC’s original run of The House of Bernarda Alba a few months ago. I was obviously ecstatic when I found out they were bringing the show back for one night and one night only! I finally saw the show last night, but to be honest? It Happened To Me: I Ate Chilito’s Three Nights in a Row

I know what you’re wondering. Yes, I made this decision consciously and voluntarily. I ate at Chilito’s, our on-campus Mexican restaurant, for three consecutive nights. And I know what else you’re wondering. The truth is, I don’t really know why either. But the best way to bring you and I closer to understanding why I did what I did is to go back and reflect. Together, we’ll evaluate my fragile mental state, poor nutritional choices, and maybe even review some food. So here’s It Happened To Me: I Ate Chilito’s Three Nights in a Row. The Owl Creeks Really Sucked Friday Night

Okay, buckle up guys. I know it’s customary on this blog when we “review” things to just shit out some vague compliments, but not today. I am so confused.

Let’s start at the beginning. This weekend was an aca-SPLOSION so I get that things were a little hectic, but when I walked up the steps of Rosse Friday night, there was a GIGANTIC Take Five banner. Wrong sign, idiots. Couldn’t even give us the curtesy of some basic planning. That could have really thrown some people off.

Fall Dance Concert in Review

Last night was the first performance of the Fall Dance Concert. I was blown away by the diversity and energy of the show. The first piece of the concert was entitled “Coefficients of Friction” and it was choreographed by visiting choreographer Ellie Escosa Carter. The piece was a lovely start to the concert because it eased the audience into the dancer’s state of mind. I found the piece extremely athletic and animalistic in nature.  Continue reading
