Hi everyone.
On Saturday, Social Board sent out an email with the subject line, “SENDOFF ARTIST POLL – We want to hear your input!” It was a list of an odd assortment of genres (“Rock/Pop”? Are those really the same thing?) where you chose one to vote for and maybe possibly they might pick an artist that vaguely belongs to one of those genres. Well, I’ve had it, officially. I think it’s time for us to rig the poll.
You’ve been pounding water all day. You have a plan of how to get from your 11:10 class to the real action fast. You finished your work so you could start drinking early afternoon, at the latest. You’re probably going to not remember 7:30 on because you’re still a dumb freshman. That’s right: it’s Sendoff time. We asked our lowly little first years what they expected from Sendoff, and here they are for your viewing pleasure.
Kenyon students love nothing more than recalling ambiguous memories about Sendoff. Even if you spent a mere two minutes in the pouring rain watching some dude named Bas you still end up looking back with nostalgia on sitting on South Quad drinking a lukewarm Keystone. Kenyon students are far too familiar with having almost great experiences; however, as no one has yet to cancel on us this year, Sendoff seems promising.
Ah, Summer Send-Off. What a time. What a night. Jam-packed full of those good-time collegiate memories you’ll always treasure. Except for, actually, you can’t really remember any of it. Like, at all. Luckily, I’ve compiled and posted publicly this list of all the things you did during Send-Off that you don’t quite remember.
These tracks will take you all over because good GRIEF, is anything certain on a day like today? The only thing I know is I am EXCITED! Let’s get hype.
