Students, Administration to Host Title IX Discussions; Meetings Open to the Kenyon Community

After the recent climate on campus in response to issues regarding Title IX and sexual assault, students, Sexual Misconduct Advisors, Peer Counselors and Title IX coordinators have rallied to find solutions and justice for the community. As a result, these groups have organized two discussions in order to talk about these issues on campus, and what we, as students and members of a larger community, can do to make a change. Remember, the SMAs are subordinate to the Counseling Center, so anything you tell them is kept confidential. They also have an anonymous hotline you can call if you need assistance: 740-358-1544. Making a #RespectfulDifference: Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity to Host Men’s Discussion

Since their official colonization at Kenyon last year, the brothers of Phi Kappa Tau have been working hard to make a positive difference both on and off campus. The fraternity’s national website states that their mission as an organization is “to be recognized as a leadership organization that binds men together and challenges them to improve their campuses and the world.” Last year, this goal manifested in the form of thousands of dollars raised for Relay for Life and many volunteer hours put towards helping charities in the greater Gambier area. Recently, the brothers have sought to extend this mission to include taking action to address the controversy surrounding Take Back the Night.
