Where Was It Said: Sendoff or In Bed

IMG_2537.jpegAh, here we are again. Friday’s Summer Sendoff was huge a success! Sun, then rain, then sun, foodtrucks, a photobooth in a car or something, a delectable AVI feast, Pete Davidson’s absence, and pretending not to be cold. The best it gets at Kenyon :). But as the weekend fades from our hazy memories, we forget: where was it said, Sendoff, or in bed?

  • His pickle is literally dripping with grease!
  • I was wet for a second… but now I’m dry.
  • That guy was screaming Whitney’s name the whole time.
  • It seems like most of the DPHIs have access to Hanna’s entrance.
  • Is it just me, or was that performance pretty weak?
  • Now that I’m South, I’m staying South.
  • AVI really came through with the ‘cream.
  • I saw a drunk DKE ram into Leonard’s back door. Ouch!
  • Honestly, Whitney really bangs.

You’ve been pounding water all day. You have a plan of how to get from your 11:10 class to the real action fast. You finished your work so you could start drinking early afternoon, at the latest. Because Sendoff is coming up, I figured we Kenyonites should start taking some style tips from the “trendy” influencers partying in the desert.

Editorial: A Response from Student Council

The following is an open letter to the Kenyon community written by Student Council with support from select editors of The Thrill.

To the Kenyon Community,

Student Council has been working to serve as a voice for the students after years of stagnancy. The fact that the administration continues to release announcements without collecting our input, or giving us any forewarning, suggests that they either do not trust students to be strong advisors, or they do not believe student input is necessary.

We have our own feelings about the recently announced changes, but rather than write from our own perspective, we will let the students speak for themselves.  Below is a compilation of feedback from emails with student council, a survey by The Thrill, YikYak posts, and Facebook posts, followed by a request for a response from the administration on behalf of Student Council.   Continue reading
