This weekend, the “U” key on my keyboard came off, making it very strange to type words such as “Roundup.” But that won’t stop me from giving you the highlights of Kenyon Athletics from the past week. Here’s what happened:

Spring sports may be in season, but based on the wintry mix that fell from the sky this weekend, the weather apparently missed the memo. On Saturday, the men’s and women’s track teams had their meet shortened by the snow, while the men’s lacrosse team persevered through the precipitation and beat rival Oberlin College. Here are all the results:

The Lords swimming and diving team made history over the weekend at the NCAA Division III Championship, winning the program’s 33rd national title and edging out rival Denison University by a mere eight points in the process. The Ladies had an equally-strong showing on the national stage, finishing in second place for the second year in row.

While the Lords and Ladies competed at nationals, other teams found success as well at home. Softball swept a home doubleheader, while women’s lacrosse washed out Washington and Jefferson College in its home opener. Here are the results from the weekend.
