Oh the Places You’ll Go: Rolly Chair Adventures in Chalmers

Ask anyone what their favorite part of Olin is and they’ll immediately profess their love for the rolly chairs in Chalmers – you know the ones, they’re all around the circle tables and line the perimeter of the rectangular work stations. When you sit in a rolly chair, all of your troubles melt away. You’re acutely aware of the homework you still have to do, but somehow it feels a lot more manageable when you know your scoots into and away from your table will be smooth as butter.

Here are some things you can do on rolly chairs to make your life in Olin a little more manageable:

  1. Tour de Olin. Much like the highly-anticipated Tour de France, you can go on your very own adventure around Olin. Start at your table and circle around Helpline, major props if you can scoot your way to the Circulation Desk.
  2. Only ever visit your friends by scooting to their table. This goes without saying, but once you have the power to scoot you never should not scoot.
  3. Annoy everyone in Olin ever. Again, this goes without saying. But if you do choose to roll around the library, be prepared to make some enemies because of it. Remember – it’s worth it.
